Cheap Beer Philly tracks the lowest-priced draft beer and active happy hours at bars across Philadelphia. No accounts, no ads, no app store install required.
How it works
Automated routines read what bars publish publicly — their websites, menus, BeerMenus listings, Untappd pages, and Instagram posts. Prices are extracted, verified, and stored as integer cents to avoid rounding. Nothing here comes from user submissions; it all comes from what bars choose to publish.
Bars are active in the app only after at least one verified price or happy hour is found. A "weekly refresh" SLA means prices are re-checked roughly every 7 days; anything older than 60 days is hidden from rankings until re-verified.
What it isn't
- Real-time — prices are checked weekly, not live.
- Exhaustive — we cover ~40 bars at launch and grow from there.
- A review site — no star ratings, no crowd-sourced opinions.
- Bar-submitted — bars don't pay for or manage their listings.
Freshness SLA
Weekly refresh. Every active bar is re-scraped at least once per week. Prices older than 60 days are suppressed from the main list. Happy hours are marked "may be outdated" after 90 days without re-verification.
See something wrong? Use the flag button on any price card. High-confidence flags trigger a priority re-check within 48 hours.
Request removal
Bar owners and staff can request removal within 24 hours, no questions asked. Find your bar in the app, open its detail page, and tap Request removal at the bottom. The listing is permanently soft-deleted and the bar won't be re-added.
